Due to increased delivery costs, we need to implement a minimum order value across our product ranges. The minimum order value is £200 (ex VAT) / £240 (inc VAT). This will enable us to continue to keep our prices low and our service levels high. We thank you for your business and continued support during these unprecedented times.

Please note - due to manufacturer shortages we are temporarily not able to accept new orders for plasterboard.

Loft Insulation

What is loft insualtion?

Loft insualtion is material placed within your roof space, between joists or around rafters. It reduces the transfer of heat, making your house warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

Types of loft insualtion

Loft insulation is available in both rolls and boards.

How much loft insulation do I need?

The recommended depth of glass or mineral wool (blanket style) insulation is 250mm-270mm. This has increased in recent years, so you will need to check to see if you already have loft insulation and the current depth as you may be able to add to it. Anything less than 100mm is likely to be very old and so may be worth disposing of and starting afresh.

Energy efficient loft insualtion

Roof insulation can help

  • Increase your home's value
  • Improve the energy efficiency rating of your home
  • Lower your heating bills in the winter
  • Lower your energy bills from fans in the summer

Can I get free loft insulation?

Free or partially funded loft insulation may be available to you if you meet certain criteria, through your energy provider. It is best to contact them first and see if you are eligible and that it is right for your property.
