Does moisture resistant plasterboard stop damp?
Moisture resistant plasterboard is designed to protect your walls and structure from water damage. While they prevent mould from forming, they cannot prevent damp completely. For example, if they are installed on a wall with an existing damp problem or if the problem that is leading to damp is left untreated.
Can I paint straight onto a moisture resistant plasterboard?
You can paint directly onto a moisture resistant plasterboard however, you will need to apply a plaster bonding agent to the boards to help the paint stick better.
