What is a Cavity Stop Sock?

Cavity Stop Socks are strips of low resin, non-combustible rock fibre mineral wool that is designed to prevent the passing of fire and smoke through cavities in walls. They can also be called cavity fire barriers, provide up to 4 hours fire integrity, and are easy to install horizontally and vertically.

How are Cavity Stop Socks used?

They can be used throughout cavity walls, but are typically reserved for use at the wall junction. They also provide excellent acoustic insulation properties to prevent sound from travelling room to room and building to building.
