What is RIW?
RIW is a manufacturer of waterproofing and basement tanking products. RIW actually stands for ‘remember, it’s waterproof’, a slogan that was coined by the company during a 1921 commercial.
The company has grown significantly in its 100 years of operation, garnering a reputation for excellence. Today, the name RIW has become synonymous with their products, so it’s not uncommon to hear someone say ‘it needs two coats of RIW’.
What is RIW paint?
Sometimes, people refer to RIW waterproofing products as RIW paint, although they can’t technically be classified as paint. RIW offers two liquid coatings, RIW LAC Liquid Asphaltic Composition and RIW Toughseal, both of which are applied like paint and are effective at preventing water damage.

Also available is RIW Toughseal, designed for use in areas where additional levels of tensile adhesion, chemical and/or abrasion resistance are required. We stock RIW Toughseal in 20L tubs in both grey and black. For structures below ground level, choose RIW LAC, available in 5L or 25L sizes.
