What is Recticel made of?
Recticel creates insulation boards using Polyisocyanurate (PIR) sandwiched between insulating, low-emissivity foil.
PIR is a thermoset polymeric material that is created from isocyanates and polyols. It’s a robust material that does not melt when it is heated, so it’s a perfect choice for insulation applications. Not only that, but the foil coverings can also retain and reflect heat.
Is Recticel insulation waterproof?
Reticel offers a range of insulation boards that are designed to withstand moisture. Another high-performance PIR insulation board is Reticel Eurothane GP, which is also available in a range of thicknesses (75mm and 120mm). It’s suitable for a range of applications, including pitched roofs, framed walls, ceilings, lofts and floors.
