E.ON launches insulation support scheme

A new support scheme launched by E.ON will help to provide households with loft and cavity wall insulation to reduce their heating bills. Its energy fit insulation stick will enable householders to measure the efficiency of their insulation and how they can improve it to help lower heating bills and reduce carbon emissions in the process.
Kevin Bryant, energy fit instructor at E.ON, said the new tool can also help to determine whether a property has cavity walls and is therefore losing heat.
'We want to help people get energy fit and hope our insulation stick will be a really simple-to-use tool to help people who don't know if they've got cavity walls, if they have been filled previously or how much loft insulation they might need,' he added.
Meanwhile, Sam Vagnetti, president of Dana Energy Savers, recently told C and G News that installing insulation before the harsh weather bites can not only keep people warm and snug over the festive period, but also help to limit their heating bills.
